Welcome to The Vancouver Academy of Ballroom Dance!

The Vancouver Academy of Ballroom Dance (VABD) is the first and only Ballroom Dance Training in Vancouver offering the internationally recognized and respected Ballroom Dance Training Program created by Diane Jarmalow.

Diane is a 15-time winner of the “Top Teacher” award at U.S. National Competitions, is a National Examiner and the creator of the DVIDA professional certification system for Dance Vision.

Diane Jarmalow’s Program is known as the easiest, most effective way to learn how to dance and how to teach dance.  This ensures that the training you receive will contribute to you becoming a knowledgeable, experienced and well-respected dancer and/or dance teacher.

Become the best Dancer that you can be, the best Teacher that you can be, or do both at the same time!

Only a love of dance is required; no previous experience necessary!

The Program consists of four 4-month long semesters in which Intensive Trainees (we call these dancers Enthusiasts!) and Teacher Trainees learn a total of 16 dances in the American Smooth, American Rhythm and Nightclub Styles ~ for Program details please use the Menu Bar above.

The Program is delivered by The Studio’s Dance Director, Canadian Smooth Champion, Dale G. Neale.

Also, as part of their Program tuition, students are invited to attend Dale’s weekly ballroom classes and monthly Ballroom Bliss socials for FREE to further support their training and develop their skills.  If you are an Intensive Training Student with a monthly tuition of $350, this basically matches your tuition dollar for dollar in group classes and dance socials.

Private Classes will always accelerate your learning curve.  Privates are available to Teachers in Training as well as those in the Intensive Program at a reduced rate.

Through our JustWannaDance community, we provide additional opportunities to practice your new skills and allow your talent to shine with classes, socials and workshops.  For more information see the Dance Classes tab in the Menu Bar above.
